University of Connecticut | NewsTau Sigma National Honor Society The second annual Tau Sigma National Honor Society Induction Ceremony and Reception was held in the Foundation Building on Friday, March 28th. Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed specifically to “recognize and promote the academic excellence of transfer students,” and we are pleased to announce that 37 Fall 2007 transfer students representing several of UConn’s Schools, Colleges and campuses were inducted. Honored guest at the Induction was University of Connecticut President Michael J. Hogan, who addressed inductees, members, and guests as a prelude to the ceremony.
